One of my favorite comics, Pete Holmes, once flubbed “Venn Diagram” and said “Sven Diagram,” then went off on a 3-minute Norwegian Viking tangent about "Raping vs Pillaging" and how the two overlap entirely. I almost pissed my pants.

Math is literally the only subject I regularly passed in school. Well that and Social studies, or history because I usually found them interesting.

I can do math but don’t expect me to write a 6 page essay on a dumb book. Engrish isn’t my favorite. I also hate economics I’d rather watch paint dry.

Common core isn't bad. It's different and tries to tackle math through a number of approaches to get kids to do more than rote tasks.

So much nope. The entire goal of mathematics is to solve the problem at hand correctly. If you had to bake a cake using common core logic, you’d first have to buy a farm.
